Trick or Treat!!
Well, last night was All Hallow's Eve and a big night for our little Cinderella. Once again, she was her favorite Princess and hey, it saved on the price of the costume right? Got a bunch of photos to post so just indulge me and say "awww, isn't she cute?" Humor me anyway. We took official photos at Sears last week but we haven't gotten the prints yet. Carly was really well behaved and happy and smiley. It's always a crap shoot, especially with strangers. Last year's Cinderella photo shoot was great drama so we were really proud that she made it through this one so easily. Anyway, you'll have to wait another week to see those. Trust me, they came out cute.
Last night we went to one of Carly's classmates for trick or treating. Our neighborhood is a great because it's a cul-de-sac but bad for Halloween because it's a big hill. So we went to another house in a less hilly neighborhood. 5 of Carly's classmates were there plus big brothers. It was a good night. We started out a little before 6PM and made it back to the house by 7:30P. Got lots of candy which is what it's all about. I guess I'm not a modern parent since we didn't bring an extra bag to dump the candy into so "lighten" the pumpkin load. Fill up the bucket and you're done. Silly us. Next year, an extra bag. We didn't really need to dump it out but it was getting a little heavy for Carly by the end. Anyway, here are some photos.
Putting on the glass slipper for the Princess. They lasted about 5 houses and we changed into more walkable shoes.

Getting ready to head out with our now empty pumpkin.

Marni, Carly and Charlotte - out three princesses

Full action shot. At least the girls were all good about saying "Thank you" every time. Okay, the Mom's at the door made sure they said it, but still, they were good.

Look Mom! Look at all the candy I got!!

Enjoying the haul. Mmmm... Peanut Butter Cups.

After we got home, we decided to officially light up our pumpkins and put them outside. And our little Princess had to pose with them.

And our little photographer wanted to take a picture with Mommy's big Digi SLR. Not too bad for a 3.5 year old and a big camera.

So that was Halloween 2006. Wonder what we'll be next year. Stay tuned...
