Directors Guild of America award nominees were announced today and G got nominated not once, but twice!! Woo-Hoo! No, he didn't get nominated as a director but as the Associate Director on the nominated directing teams. So if the director wins the award, G gets one too. He's been nominated 4 times previously. Anyway, this year's nominations were for the "American Idol Season 5 Finale" and "The 60th Annual Tony Awards". We all know that neither will win since it's a shoe-in that Rob Marshall for "Tony Bennett: An American Classic" was brilliant. But hey, you never know and it's two more nomination plaques on the wall. And yay for Bruce Gowers and Glenn Weiss who were the directors of those shows. And yes, it is nice to be nominated.
