Society ills
So I'm at Starbucks this morning (society issue in its own right) ordering my egg nog latte. As I'm waiting, a mom comes in with her son who's about 2 1/2. He yells a little bit, not in a tantrum screaming kind of way but just in a loud voice. As a mother of a young child, I didn't think the kid was being obnoxious in any way. The next thing I heard from the Mom to the son was this "If you don't behave, there'll be no TV in the car." Wow, what can be said about that? We live in such a warped, materialistic, instant gratification isn't fast enough society that the punishment is no TV IN THE CAR?? Oy. Had to share.
